Being Fantastic and Frugal is an art, there is a certain jenese que to getting the most Value for your dollar. I spent last Friday morning fantastically and frugally getting my hairs cut.
A haircut in Canada can run you anywhere from $10 to $100+, and you most certainly get what you pay for, well mostly….
Keeping with a fantastic Friday I made an appointment at Zeal Salon on Robson. What makes it Fantastic AND Frugal, you ask?
Zeal is Fantastic because they have skilled hair stylists that do a dry and wet cut whilst sitting on a wheeled stool like an artist (Your hair is the art!), Zeal boasts massaging chairs at their wash sinks (remind them to turn the seat on for you) where they swath you in warm towels, Ladies it’s safe to do your makeup before a cut because they have a cute little paper shield that sticks to your forehead protecting those beautifully done up peepers, did I mention the scalp massage?, what about your own personal heater for your chair while the magic is happening with your tresses?, or did I mention the locker for your purse and glasses??? Fantastic I agree!
The Frugal part is you get all that, a haircut with a senior stylist trained in the Japanese style of haircutting, for $45 with a tip. That’s doing Frugal with style and getting the most value for your dollar!
Here is my tip for You, book a hair cut at Zeal and for that Fantastic Cherry on top stop at JapaDog after for Shoyu Shake fries or a world renowned hotdog. To find out why it’s Fantastic you have to go taste it for yourself, indescribably umami.
